If you've known me for any amount of time you'll know that I never really came off as the commentary type. Yes, I was/still am a "streamer" in some capacity so all I really do is commentate. But something like this, where I sit down, write, and choose my words carefully has never really been my style. Like I wrote in the About Me section of this website fully scripting my words is not my strong suit.
I have always wanted to make full commentary style videos on YouTube but I was never able to get past that hurdle. I've attempted to varying degrees of success, my AMA video and Veracrypt Tutorial come to mind as a success and failure respectively. Perhaps my paranoia surrounding how I would sound when making these types of videos is more the issue then actually just making them would be. Maybe just the idea of the amount of extra work required, re-recording lines for example, scares me off of attempting. But I still want to make commentary style content, and until now I couldn't do it.
So that is the purpose of this blog. To substitute what I cannot make into videos. Plus a little known benefit of this format is that it gatekeeps the TikTok brainrot kids. So if you're reading this, thank you for your support. Maybe some day I will start making this style of content and I can link back to these posts, only time will tell though.
P.S. I hate the word "blog" but what else do I call this?
